The first signs of Spring are always a cause for celebration! Many cultures have special traditions to celebrate the arrival of Spring. There are also other traditions and celebrations that many families celebrate during this time. Here are some ideas for activities and storytelling…

Snowdrop Stories

Often snowdrops are the first sign of Spring and can be a symbol of hope. This is an activity to find some snowdrops and share them with family and friends in different places.

Bookmark Family Traditions and Celebrations

This is a craft idea to make a bookmark with children, listing the celebrations coming up that your family celebrate. I first did this activity in February, so I included pancake day and Lent.

Traditions and celebrations make for great storytelling, and these bookmarks can be a marker to look forward to! The bookmarks can be shared in early years settings and schools to learn about different celebrations and traditions special to the families who go there.
